Doll is Paper Tyger's first foal and her sire, Brick's, first jennet. Paper Tyger just spit herself out and reproduced a foal that looks exactly like herself and has the same adorable personality. She appears to be a very dark brown jennet but we cannot see a cross so she will probably clip off to be a near black jennet just like her mom when she is mature. I do not see one single thing I do not like about this little girl. She will mature closer to her sire's height than her dam's. She is square, straight and balanced and has a perfect bite. She will make a wonderful show donkey, that can retire to the breeding pen when she is mature, or just be a beautiful pet. Named by my former co-worker, Juanita Phariss. Thanks for the neat name Juanita!
Doll will be up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Rabies before she is weaned. She comes with many, many extras. Payments are welcome until she is weaned between 5 to 6 months of age. Her price will be reduced if you purchase more than one donkey or if you have previously purchased from us. Born out in the paddock in the only blind spot right under the outside cam after we were exhausted from being up for two nights watching for another jennet to foal. Since we 'just' missed his birth we appropriately named him Just Jack. He is the most gorgeous gray you have ever seen with very dark points and an intermediate muzzle. JJ already has an admiror that has fallen in love with him from just watching him play on the barn cam. She is coming to see him on Tuesday to make sure he is the perfect donkey for her!

Star Struck finally started her labor on Monday morning and a few spot jack was born. She settled into motherhood in the record time of one and one-half hours. He is heavy boned with a perfect bite and super straight legs. He has two opposite dark fetlocks front and rear, therefore, we are going to name him Goody 2 Shoes.
Goody will be castrated before he leaves for his new home. He will also be up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Rabies, hoof trims and de-wormings. He will be registered and microchiped as well.

Well, it is official...Boy Toy is the lightest foal ever born at Half Ass Acres. We will find out if he is also the shortest when we measure him later today. (Update: Two others of our previous foals were born shorter: Roger @ 17¾" tall & 15¼ lbs. and Tiny Dancer @ 17½" tall & 15¾ lbs.) His mom was several weeks late in delivering so we can only imagine how tiny he might have been if he had been born on his due date. It was another rough start as Toy loved her new foal but was frightened of him nursing for the first time. Three and a half hours of coaxing and she finally settled into motherhood like a pro. This little boy has a super wide chest for a foal so very tiny. Thank you to WyCheri at marestare for giving him his perfect name!

A big thank you to my friend, Kelly Dehnel, at Olympic Minature Donkeys in Wausau, Wisconsin for coming up with a great name for this little girl. Since it looked like the stork was confused and delivered Star Struck's foal to Judith Ann and as Kelly says, "have her barn name be Nito because she is oh, so Neat O!!
Of course she was born when I was on the way home from a doctor's appointment but Joe delivered her with no problems and I arrived home about five mintues after her birth. (So sorry but there will not be a birth video.) Judith Ann being a first time mom took awhile to accept her newborn but it wasn't long before she loved her like she should.
What a little doll Annie and Bruise have produced. She isn't the tall, rangy spotted gelding I was looking for but I am not complaining. This little girl is so much better.
