We have been waiting for this foal to arrive since July when we were told the mom's last heat cycle occurred. Finally after being in the maternity ward since May she decided to have her baby. Sabrina is being a wonderful mom. He has a small star just like his sire and dam and no light points. Diamond will be offered for sale. We just can't keep them all.

We were busy attending the two day NMDA Music City Show and we were not expecting to find Dolly in early labor when we went to the barn to get ready for day two of of the show. We quickly put Dolly in the foaling stall and videoed her birth live on Facebook. This adorable jennet was born on my deceased mother's b'day, Gene Ray, so we named her Dream of Genie. This jennet's sire is now residing in Australia so we are keeping Genie for our future brood jennet band.

Sweetie went into labor close to midnight. Her water broke at 12:32am. When nothing happened for twenty minutes and we did not see anythng in the birth canel we immedietly called the vet. Dr. Harris had delivered another breech foal for us nine years ago so we knew he was more than capable of saving our foal and the mother. After much labor on Dr. Harris' part he was finally able to pull the foal out backwards by her back legs. She was alive!! We have part of this on video as I had to put my camera down and help at times. This little girl is not for sale because her sire was sold out of the country and we want to keep his outstanding bloodlines in our herd.
We named this precious girl Little White Lie because although she is now a light red and white spot she will 'frost out' when she is older and be completely white like her mom. But I sure would love to be totally wrong about that.
So very sorry but this jennet is Not For Sale!

We have named this boy Infinity because his legs go on forever. He is going to be a super nice gelding prospect. He has show quality winning conformation. He will look fantastic under harness when he is old enough to train to pull a cart. He will be castrated (gelded) before he leaves our farm and he will be up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Rabies. He will have a current negative coggins report. You may make payments on him until he is ready to go to his new home around mid-October. Send a deposit in now and small monthly payments will hold him until he is ready to go to his new home.
Bab's first foal is here. Unfortunately this foal does not belong to us. Her mother was sold to our neighbors years ago and they decided to let her foal at Half Ass Acres since they were inexperienced and they had no way to keep her off the fescue grass. They named this little jennet in honor of their first donkey, Mary, that died during foaling. Since it is also Mother's Day weekend they named her Mother Mary or M&M or Emmy for her barn name.
This little girl has a huge star on her forehead along with a blaze and snip and two spots on each hip that are really too small to qualify as a spotted but makes her a masked spot instead. She has very correct, straight legs that are wide for such a tiny girl. We aren't exactly sure of her color but we think she is either a red/gray or a rose-dun masked spot or she could be a brown/roan. We just need to get her out in the sunlight to tell for sure.
You can ask but I doubt her owners will want to part with this special girl. If they did I would want her for myself. She is that nice.

Shimmy's third foal is here! Shameless ShAmy (as Katie calls him) has darkened up since we took these pictures and videos. We have not kept any of Shimmy's foal since she had Roger so we may just keep ShAmy to buddy up with Roger so he will have someone his own size to play with. Not for sale!
Update! Our favorite donkey customer talked us right out of ShAmy...but we repurchased him a few years later.

We have named this handsome fella "Moon Knight" in keeping with the super hero theme that we have named most all of Kyptonite's foals. He was also born a few days after the Super Blue Moon Eclypse that has not occurred in 150 years.
Moon Knight, the super hero, gains enhanced strength, endurance, and reflexes at night, reaching his pinnacle during a full moon, and sometimes has prophetic visions. He is a skilled boxer, commando, martial artist, acrobat, gymnast and pilot. In other words...don't mess with Moon Knight. He has the power!
